State of the City

Almost all cities produce an annual State of the City report, usually a thick stack of papers full of gray text and only an occasional table with facts and figures. In a recap of 2012, however, the City of College Station produced a 12 page, full-color interactive report optimized for desktops and mobile devices.

Using the interactive PDF module* in Adobe InDesign, I created an interactive and printable version of the city manager’s State of the City document, which included photos, quotations and statistics captured by City of College Station staff throughout the year.
