Single-Stream Recycling
Sep 2016
Early in 2015, staff from the City of College Station public works department began planning the city’s first single-stream recycling program for all residential sanitation customers. Although recycling itself was not new to the city, since curbside recycling services have been been around for some time, the transition to single-stream service required a comprehensive education campaign.
My role included the design and development of several marketing pieces that would properly inform residents of allowable recyclables, pickup days, and other requirements of the new program. Examples include direct-mail recycle guides, calendar magnets, bin stickers, and targeted media posts during the first phase of implementation.
Starlight Music Series
Jul 2016
Starlight Music Series is a collection of free outdoor concerts held at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater each summer. Hosted by the City of College Station, events feature a variety of rock, country, jazz, pop and alternative music.
Since 2009, I’ve led the development of event branding and marketing each year. In 2016, we introduced our first Voters Choice contest where residents and Starlight fans could vote on their favorite artists to perform at our last concert of the 2016 season.
